2018 TKSHS Water Project & Projector Donation

In 2018, CTED embarked on an ambitious water supply project for the school. It was a revolutionary project because since the establishment of the school (some 60 years ago), the school never had running water. TKSHS had to hire tankers to fill-up reservoir tanks for the students, which often ran out. This meant that most students still had to walk long distances outside the school to find water.

The water supply project involved the creation of a water supply network for the school to be connected to Ghana Water Company's main supply line for the Kumawu township.

In 2018, an alumni of the school contacted Prof. Yaw Nyarko because he had an interest in giving back. He generously donated a projector and its accessories to the TKSHS ICT Lab. This was an important complement to the computers that CTED donated to the ICT Lab.
